Saw The Squid and the Whale last night. A scathing indictment of relationships among the intellectual classes. It was dry, wry, unsettling and pretty darn funny. The characters are dreadful people, but beautifully drawn and beautifully acted. Loved the youngest son of the shattered family--he's pure walking id. Jeff Daniels as a self-absorbed writer/professor on the way down to his own personal hell was delightful, in a horrible kind of way. Eek.
Wrote a little this afternoon. Then crutched to Megatunes all on my own steam in the bright November sun to try to pick up a couple of cds . Discovered Cocorosie and Animal Collective. I wonder how long it would take to learn to walk on one's hands.
